WHS wins a tough hard fought battle against Leo Hayes, thanks to a powerful performance by Jordan Irvine with 28 points, who dominated inside and outside, along with handling the ball up and down the court.
The WHS Varsity Girls are the 2009 Thunder Valley Classic Champions, after beating CNHS 50 to 45.
The JV Boys champions from this year are the KVHS Crusaders, in their 80 to 64 win over the St. Stephen Spartans.
Congratulations to FHS JV Girls Black Cats on their win in the JV Girls Championship. Player of the game for the Black Cats was Julie O'Donnell, and for the Trojans was Eibhlin Storey.

A CRAZY game between FHS and WHS, in the 9:00pm semi-final at WHS. Woodstock was down by 17 in the second half, but thanks to an unbelievable shooting effort by Scott Anderson from behind the arc, paralleled by an unstoppable midrange game by Ross Kinney, WHS went on a 50 to 6 scoring run to bring them ahead by 27 points at one point, and ending with a 90 to 66 win.

First round action began this morning at 10:00 am where teams are battling for East Coast basketball supremacy. Tournament action will progress all day today featuring high-flying basketball showcases from all divisions. Games will be running at Woodstock High School, New Brunswick Community College, and Hartland Community School.
